UPDATE March 7, 2010
The project is advancing at the usual slow but steady rate...Dialog
editing and correction of sound problems took longer than anticipated.
I can't wait to have the finished product but I am forcing myself
to not rush it.... we are now beginning to add the music insertions
and scores and I continue to adjust timing and pace. I am very pleaased
with production quality and the actors' performances are amazing.
The well known singer-songwriter Jen Sygit is allowing us to use
"Poker Face" from her So Long Polyanna CD and we are discussing
the use of the beautiful song, Little Bird by Anisa Hayes for the
closing credits. Both songs embody the key elements of Mary's journey.
I know everyone is dying to get clips for their reels and we have
been at this for more than 2 years but I assure you it is shaping
up very well, considering our nonexistant post-production budget.
I hope to be ready for the final steps of mixing and color correction
in about 2 mos and then invite cast, crew and a test audience to
a test screening before sending it to festivals. I will keep you
posted on dates with plenty of notice.
At this time, I am asking for volunteers among the principal actors
to come over and be interviewed for the Bonus section of the DVD.
It's a great way to share your process and your vision of your character.
(I don't care that you are all much older now.) We will do the interviews
as if you are talking to an off camera interviewer and allow you
to first remain in character and then to share how you viewed your
part. You can be sponteneous or use the teleprompter. I will share
my director's notes with you ahead of time. Also, interviews can
be a great addition to your reel, since the interview will contain
representative scenes.
The Bonus section of the DVD will be the key to getting our niche
audience into position, even before the movie is released. The buzz
begins.... In addition to conventional channels, we hope to tap
into the self-help and women's health channels.

Dec 10, 2009
I have completed the Director's Cut and the running time is about
1hr 48min, give or take for intro music and end titles.
The dialog edit is being fine tuned, no ADR will be needed.
The polishing of dialog edit and green screen keying is in progress
and Marc is working on the Foley.
Scoring and color correction should begin in a month or so, so
please bear with me.
This has been a long road but you are all going to be very proud
of your work.
We hope to have a test screening in a few months... we'll let everyone
know more details later.
